Todoist

Type "pay rent every 1st" and Todoist schedules it. The app syncs across every platform, supports projects, labels and filters, and stays out of the way when you just want to capture a task.

Why we picked it: the quick-add bar is the best task capture on mobile, and the free plan covers most people.

Watch out for: reminders and calendar sync need the Pro plan.
