It can also link to Google services such as Gmail, Calendar, Photos, YouTube and Search, so answers can draw on your own email and schedule. It suits anyone already living in Google's ecosystem who wants one place to ask, write and create.
Day to day it works like a chat app, but Gemini Live is the standout: a back-and-forth voice conversation where you can point your camera or share your screen and talk about what is in front of you. Image generation and editing are built in, along with music clips and quick web prototypes. Answers often mix in images, timelines or interactive visuals rather than plain text. Video generation and the higher usage tiers sit behind Google AI paid plans.
