Zoom Workplace is the current form of the Zoom app most people know for video calls. Alongside joining and hosting meetings, it now bundles team chat with channels, Zoom Phone for business calling and SMS, a whiteboard, shared docs, a scheduler, and mail and calendar. It is aimed at people whose company or school already runs on Zoom, though anyone can install it to join a meeting from a link.
Day to day, most people open it to tap into a meeting, share a screen or answer a chat. Calls can move between your phone and computer without hanging up, and on Android you get picture-in-picture and split screen on tablets. The AI Companion features can write up notes, send a summary afterwards and answer questions like what you missed, but whether you see them depends on your account and plan. The extra tabs can make the app feel crowded if you only ever join calls.
